Pierce Little Musicians DIY Orchestra
Participation inWAAE Athens Summit 2024
The music performance Pierce Little Musicians DIY Orchestra features elementary students exploring the integration of digital instruments, such as apps and tactile interfaces, along with traditional instruments like the piano, cello, and violin. Combining graphic scores, experimental music techniques, Greek music elements, and conventional composition techniques, the music do-it-yourself (DIY) orchestra emerges as a child-crafted distinctive musical experience with technology, resulting in a dynamic and interactive performance.
Students in grade 6 from Pierce – The American College of Greece elementary school, under the guidance of Dr. Yannis Mygdanis, participate in the Pierce Little Musicians DIY Orchestra.
The performance is scheduled to take place at the WAAE Athens Summit 2024 on Thursday, October 17th.
