Acoustic Ecology and STEAM at the 7th Acoustic Ecology Conference

The 7th Acoustic Ecology Conference “Soundscapes, Biophony and the Climate Crisis” takes place from 7 to 10 November 2024 in Athens and Ancient Epidaurus. The programme connects acoustic ecology with biodiversity, environmental listening, technology and education, and includes research presentations, artistic events and discussions about the sonic environment. Themes also include sound recording, mapping, sound analysis and machine listening.

The presentation “Design and Implementation of STEAM Scenarios Reflecting Ubiquitous Acoustic Ecologies in Primary Music Education: An Initial Overview and Perspectives” addresses the design and implementation of STEAM scenarios in primary music education, drawing on ubiquitous acoustic ecologies through activities that connect listening, environment, technology and musical creation.
