DJ Ostomachion at the 5th Panhellenic Conference “Educational Games and Art in Education and Culture”

The 5th Panhellenic Conference “Educational Games and Art in Education and Culture” takes place online on 2–3 November 2024. The conference examines the role of play and artistic practices in formal, non-formal and cultural learning environments and includes keynote talks, research presentations and workshops. Its programme brings together perspectives from different arts and educational fields.

The presentation “DJ Ostomachion: Music-Education Software Based on Archimedes’ Ostomachion” introduces the design of DJ Ostomachion, a digital music environment whose central idea draws on Archimedes’ geometric puzzle and transfers its combinatorial logic into activities of musical play, arrangement and creation.
