“A Sea of Sounds” at the Training Day on Ocean Literacy and Creative Arts

The experiential professional development event “Marine Literacy and Education through the Creative Arts: The Mediterranean Example” takes place on 2 November 2024 at the Cultural Center of European University Cyprus. The programme focuses on the relationship between education, the creative arts and the marine environment, and includes a music-and-storytelling performance together with four experiential workshops. It is aimed at educators and professionals interested in activities related to the Mediterranean and marine literacy.

The workshop “A Sea of Sounds: Creative Use of Sea Sounds through STEAM Practices” uses recordings, sounds and materials associated with the marine environment as starting points for listening, experimentation, musical composition and interdisciplinary STEAM applications.
