“Peace” by Yannis Ritsos — Choral Recording by Pierce

In February 2024, a choral recording of “Peace”, a setting of poetry by Yannis Ritsos from the collection Agrypnia, is released digitally. The work is performed by the Pierce Primary School Choir of The American College of Greece and is based on an original musical setting of the poem. The recording is produced within the school’s choral activity and distributed digitally through CD Baby.

The music, arrangement and choir direction are part of the same production. Preparation includes the choral treatment of the work, its orchestration and recording with the participation of the primary-school choir students.
