“Sounds & Blips” — STEAM Music-Making for Children

The workshop “Sounds & Blips” takes place at the MUSIX Lab of the Athens Concert Hall from 5 November to 3 December 2023 and is designed for children aged 7–11. Organised by the Friends of Music Society, the activity connects basic ideas of electricity, electronic circuits and musical sound through play and hands-on construction. Children use littleBits and other materials to build simple electronic musical instruments. Each session lasts 90 minutes.

The workshop is designed, curated and delivered by Elisavet Perakaki and Yannis Mygdanis. Sessions include construction, sound experimentation and activities in creating music for moving image as part of a STEAM workshop series for children.
