Digital Vegan Orchestra — Music with Circuits, Computers and Fruit

Digital Vegan Orchestra takes place at the MUSIX Lab of the Athens Concert Hall from 5 November to 3 December 2023 and is designed for children aged 6–8. Fruit, cables, circuits and computers become materials for musical experimentation as children explore different ways of triggering sounds and constructing improvised digital musical instruments. Each session lasts 90 minutes.

The workshop is designed, curated and delivered by Elisavet Perakaki and Yannis Mygdanis. During the sessions, the children combine the instruments they build into a small digital “fruit orchestra” and take part in collaborative music-making activities with elements of STEAM.
