Music Coin DJs — When Coins Become Musical Instruments

The Music Coin DJs workshop takes place on 26 November 2023 at the MUSIX Lab of the Athens Concert Hall and is designed for children aged 7–10. Coins, cables and electronic circuits provide the starting point for musical experimentation as participants explore how everyday objects operate as controls for rhythms, melodies and digital sounds. The workshop lasts 90 minutes.

The workshop is designed, curated and delivered by Elisavet Perakaki and Yannis Mygdanis. Children build their own music interfaces and then use them in remix activities and small DJ-style applications, combining STEAM practices with musical play.
