Acoustic Ecology and Audiovisual Creation at the 6th Acoustic Ecology Conference

The 6th Acoustic Ecology Conference takes place in Thessaloniki from 19 to 21 November 2021 and focuses on relationships among the acoustic environment, digital culture and audiovisual narratives. The programme includes research and artistic approaches to listening, soundscape, technology and the use of audiovisual media in educational and creative settings.

Yannis Mygdanis and Elisavet Perakaki participate with the presentation “The Child as a Shaper of the Natural and Digital World: A Proposal for the Use of Audiovisual Tools in Sound Pedagogy”. The proposal is designed for children aged 7–11 and uses tools such as SoundBlocks, Sampler, Scratch and Makey-Makey in activities involving listening, soundscape creation and digital experimentation.
