Three Activities at BIP Athens 2026: Music Education 4.0, Soundwalk and Electroacoustic Creation

The international BIP Athens 2026 – “Mapping Music Education Research: Psychology, Sociology and Research Methods” is jointly organised by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Granada and the University of Oldenburg. Three activities take place within the programme on 18 April and 21 May 2026, connecting contemporary directions in music education with post-digital practice, acoustic ecology and music creation.

On 18 April 2026, the online invited lecture “Mapping Music Education 4.0: A Post-Digital, Anthropocentric Music-Educational Framework Integrating Emerging and Immersive Technologies, AI, and STREAM Strategies” is delivered. On 21 May 2026, two in-person workshops follow: “Niarchos Foundation Sound Routes: A Soundwalk Experience,” involving a geolocation-supported soundwalk at the SNFCC, and “From Field Recordings to Electroacoustic Music Creation: A Pedagogical Perspective,” in which field recordings are transformed into a collaborative electroacoustic composition using digital musical instruments and interactive artefacts.
