Designing STEAM Scenarios for Music Lessons — Guest Lecture at NKUA

On 24 April 2024, a guest lecture takes place within “The Interdisciplinary Approach to Music Teaching (M229)” at the Music Pedagogy Division, Department of Music Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The session addresses interdisciplinary organisation in music teaching and the place of music within a coherent STEAM framework.

The lecture “STEAM Education in Music Lessons: Designing and Developing Interdisciplinary Music Teaching Scenarios” presents a design process based on explicit musical objectives, authentic questions, experimentation, collaboration and the creation of musical artefacts. It also examines the use of digital media, coding and making practices, together with iterative cycles of testing, feedback and redesign.
