Two Presentations on STEAM and AI in the School Music Classroom — NKUA Study Day

The online study day “Using STEAM Practices in the School Music Classroom: Theoretical Framework, Challenges, Practical Applications” takes place on 8 November 2025, organised by the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Attica. The event focuses on clarifying the STEAM framework and examining its applications in music education.

Two presentations are included in the programme. “Using STEAM Education Practices in Music Pedagogy: Toward Defining and Clarifying the Framework” examines the STEM–STEAM relationship, the maker movement, constructionism and design thinking. “STEAMusEdGPT: An Intelligent AI Assistant for Designing STEAM Scenarios in Music Education” presents a specialised generative-AI tool for ideation, organisation, differentiation and redesign, alongside issues of accuracy, transparency, intellectual property, bias and data protection.
