Generative AI in Music Creation — Guest Lecture at NKUA

On 22 December 2025, a guest lecture takes place within “Music and Artificial Intelligence (M233)” at the Music Technology Division, Department of Music Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The session focuses on contemporary forms of generative artificial intelligence and their relationships with composition, music production and sonic experimentation.

The lecture “Generative AI in Music Creation: Models, Processes, and Creative Practices” presents categories of models that generate or transform musical and sonic material, together with interaction through textual or musical prompts. It also considers authorship, intellectual property, training data, aesthetic homogenisation, transparency and creative responsibility.
