Creating Music Videos in Music Teaching — GSME Online Seminar

On 24 April 2021, an online seminar is organised by the String Instrument Pedagogy Group of the Greek Society for Music Education (GSME). The session approaches music video as a multimodal field of creation and examines relationships among image, sound, movement and narrative in music teaching and learning activities.

The presentation “Music ‘Directors’ in Action! Creating Videos in Music Lessons” is organised around the main stages of producing a short audiovisual work: developing an idea, planning the narrative, recording, selecting musical material, editing and final assembly. Particular attention is given to musical decisions arising from the synchronisation of sound and image and to the use of accessible digital tools.
