Professional Development for Theory of Music Teachers at the 7th EEMAPE–ASPETE Scientific Conference

The 7th Scientific Conference “Designing Teaching, Professional Development & Vocational Training for Specialist Teachers” takes place in Athens on 28–29 January 2020, organised by ASPETE and the Association of Primary Education Music Teachers. The conference focuses on the design of teaching and professional-development provision for educators across different subject areas.

On 28 January 2020, the paper “Designing a Framework for Professional Development Programmes for Teachers of the ‘Theory of Music’ Course” is presented. It examines the conditions surrounding Theory of Music teaching in conservatoire education and, in dialogue with contemporary literature, identifies key axes for the design of continuing professional-development programmes for teachers.
