Scratch and Makey Makey in Music Lessons — Online Workshop

On 6 December 2020, an online professional workshop is organised by the LifeLong Music Engagement Research Unit of SoScieAtH at European University Cyprus. The activity focuses on integrating visual programming and tangible interfaces into music teaching through an interdisciplinary STEAM framework.

The workshop “The Scratch Programming Language and the Makey-Makey Interface in Music Lessons” combines Scratch with Makey Makey and everyday conductive objects to create music applications and improvised electronic instruments. Activities are adaptable to both face-to-face and distance-learning environments and connect sonic experimentation, music creation and expression with digital and multimodal musical literacies.
