Space-age musical instruments made from fruit!

Baby Maestro Cyprus welcomes Yannis Mygdanis, musician, music educator, doctoral candidate in Music Education at European University Cyprus at the time of the event, and creator of the Synth4kids application.

Can an apple make sounds? What music could a banana produce? Can we play drums with water, or build a piano from coins? Come to Baby Maestro Cyprus and make original musical instruments using fruit, wires, computers, modelling clay, coins, foil, drawings and anything else we can imagine. Then we will create our own film music and travel into space!

This two-hour workshop is for children aged 6–9. Participants experiment with Synth4kids and the Makey-Makey interface to make their own musical instruments. If possible, children are invited to bring a piece of fruit or aluminium foil.
