“19+1 Ways to Teach a Song” — Multimodality and Technology

The eight-hour online seminar “Multimodality and Technological Applications in Song Teaching (19+1 Ways to Teach a Song)” takes place on 24 January 2021 as part of Kroustofono’s annual professional development series “Music and the Arts in Education Today”. The session examines different ways of approaching a song in music education by combining listening, performance, language, image, movement and digital media.

The seminar is led by Yannis Mygdanis and May Kokkidou. Participants work with examples of multimodal song analysis and transformation, together with technological applications for activities before, during and after the performance of a song in the music classroom.
