The 13th Panhellenic/International Conference “ICT in Education” takes place from 29 September to 1 October 2023 at the International Hellenic University in Kavala. The programme includes research and educational applications concerning the use of digital technologies in education.
The presentation on the teaching intervention Little Music Makers & Producers introduces technology-and-music scenarios for primary education. Students use digital media for music creation, production and experimentation, with a focus on developing creativity within the music lesson.
Students take an active role throughout the process, from producing and organising musical material to revising and presenting it. Digital tools are used as media for creation and decision-making, connecting musical and technological skills within a single project. The project therefore offers a model in which technology serves student creativity rather than merely supporting practice. Activities are organised around explicit musical aims so that technology functions as a tool for composition, reflection and collaboration within the school music classroom.
