The paper Little Music Makers & Producers: Design and Implementation of an Innovative Technological-Musical Teaching Proposal in Primary Education to Enhance Creativity was published in the Proceedings of the 13th Panhellenic and International Conference “ICT in Education”. The publication presents a 30-week pilot implementation involving 20 students in Grades 3–5 at Pierce.
Students worked with music production, ubiquitous music computing, coding strategies, maker practices and collaborative do-it-yourself (DIY) activities. Findings describe active and creative participation together with strengthened musical and technological skills, presenting a learning environment in which musical creation and technological inquiry develop together. The intervention was organised through music-education scenarios informed by STEAM, allowing students to experiment, collaborate and revise their work. The paper documents an early stage in the development of the teaching intervention Little Music Makers & Producers and shows how music production can be connected with programming and making practices in primary education while remaining centred on creativity and shared musical activity.
