The comparative study Music Curricula in Greece, Sweden, and Japan: A Comparative Qualitative Study and Reflections, co-authored with M. Kokkidou and A. Kondylidou, was published in the edited volume Epistemological and Methodological Issues in Curriculum and Textbook Research by Grafima. The chapter compares three educational systems through their official music curricula.

The qualitative analysis considers curricular aims and philosophy, objectives, methodology, assessment, openness, modes of implementation and twenty-first-century skills. It also examines the degree to which curricula are implemented centrally or allow room for teacher initiative and adaptation to local school contexts. The comparison highlights the educational and cultural assumptions embedded in official documents and explores both points of convergence and areas of difference. Rather than merely listing contrasts, the study also considers indications of policy borrowing and the transfer of educational ideas across different systems, offering a broader perspective on how school music education is framed within national curricular structures.
