The educational workshop “Space-Themed Fruity Musical Instruments!” takes place on 3 November 2024 at Baby Maestro Cyprus and is designed for children aged 6–9. The activity combines musical play, making, and digital technology, using fruit, water, coins, and other everyday materials within a space-inspired theme.
Using Synth4Kids and simple electronic connections, children turn everyday objects into digital musical instruments and experiment with different ways of producing and triggering sound. They then use their constructions in improvisation and music-creation activities.
The activity is organised so that making leads directly into musical action rather than remaining a technical experiment. Children test which materials can trigger or alter sound, compare different solutions and decide how to use their constructions in short musical ideas. Connecting everyday objects with digital sound supports inquiry, collaboration and imagination. The space theme provides a playful frame that encourages children to connect technological exploration with imaginative narratives and collaborative musical missions.
