The award-winning play “Paidia tou Patros”, written and directed by S. Kakavoulis, is staged at Mikro Gloria Theatre from 10 to 28 May 2024. The production brings its characters face to face with a traumatic past and develops around questions of power, faith, memory and personal responsibility.
An original score is created specifically for the production. The music is integrated into the stage action and follows the dramatic development of the work, forming an organic part of the production’s overall sonic environment.
The music adapts to the timing of the production, its transitions and the dynamics of individual scenes. Composition develops in dialogue with direction and performance so that the sonic material supports the dramatic trajectory without becoming detached from live stage action. The production therefore becomes a field of collaboration among composition, acting and staging, with music functioning within theatrical time itself. Music therefore develops as part of the production rather than as an external addition.
