The professional development programme “The Digital World in Music Education and Culture: Sources, Tools and Techniques” begins on 4 December 2023, has a total duration of 450 hours and runs for seven months through in-person and distance-learning sessions. The CCE-NKUA programme focuses on applications of digital media in music education and culture.
The teaching contribution, under the scientific and academic direction of S. Chrysostomou, covers digital music applications, creative technologies and the design of music activities. These applications are considered across formal, non-formal and informal music-learning environments.
The programme approaches digital tools through their function in real learning and cultural contexts. Participants examine resources, applications and techniques according to their suitability for different ages, aims and forms of participation. Connecting theory with application is intended to support educators and professionals in designing more coherent, creative and informed digital musical experiences. The programme’s extended duration allows gradual familiarisation with different categories of tools and their integration into increasingly complex design and creative activities.
