On 16 October 2023, “A Successful Poem” is released digitally as a song based on poetry by K. Gimosoulis. The release is distributed on digital music platforms through CD Baby and is based on a musical setting of the poem of the same title.
Music and mixing are by Yannis Mygdanis, with F. Passalidis as performer. The production brings together the musical setting, vocal performance and final sound processing in a self-contained digital release.
The musical setting and vocal interpretation move the poem into a self-contained recorded form. Music does not replace the poetic text but creates a new aural framework for engaging with it, while mixing brings the separate vocal and musical elements into a unified result. Digital release allows the work to function independently as a song and to continue beyond the original process of setting and recording the poem. Collaboration with the singer finally gives the poem a specific vocal presence within the recorded work.
