On 24 March 2025, an online invited lecture is delivered within the international BIP Oldenburg 2025, jointly organised by Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg, NKUA, and the University of Granada. The programme brings together contemporary research perspectives on music education, psychology, sociology, and research methodology.
The lecture presents Music Education 4.0 as a framework connecting music production, creative making, coding, virtual and augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. These practices are related to ST(R)EAM and to forms of music learning in which students experiment, construct, and create musical material themselves. The emphasis therefore shifts from simply using digital tools to the design of coherent musical learning experiences.
The lecture organises different technological practices around musical creation and learner agency rather than treating them as separate technical skills. It therefore presents a post-digital perspective in which physical and digital media coexist and are selected according to musical aims, developmental level and the needs of the learning process.
