The international BIP Athens 2026 is jointly organised by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University of Granada, and the University of Oldenburg, connecting contemporary directions in music education with research, technology, and experiential musical practice. The programme includes three activities ranging from theoretical discussion of Music Education 4.0 to environmental listening and collaborative music creation.
On 18 April 2026, an online invited lecture presents a human-centred, post-digital framework for music education integrating emerging technologies, AI, and STREAM. On 21 May 2026, two workshops follow: a soundwalk at the SNFCC, where movement through space is linked with geolocated sonic experiences, and a workshop in which field recordings are transformed into a collaborative electroacoustic composition. Together, the three activities illustrate different ways of connecting listening, technology, creativity, and collaboration.
The three activities operate as complementary stages, moving from a conceptual framework to listening in a real environment and finally to the collaborative transformation of recorded sound into composition. The programme therefore highlights a continuous relationship among space, technology, collaboration and creative musical practice.
