The chapter Implementing STREAM music scenarios in early childhood education through Music Education 4.0: Design principles for post-digital transformation is published in the international edited volume Early Childhood Education as a European Knowledge Ecosystem: Arts, Digital Transformation, and Social Futures by IGI Global Scientific Publishing. The publication situates Music Education 4.0 within early-childhood education and focuses on the design of STREAM music scenarios for post-digital learning environments.
The proposed framework connects musical creation with constructionist learning, multimodal musical literacies and design thinking, with particular emphasis on agency, embodied learning, accessibility and reflection. Immersive technologies and artificial-intelligence tools are incorporated when they are developmentally appropriate and serve explicit musical and pedagogical aims. The chapter also treats physical and digital spaces as a unified field of musical action in which children can listen, make, experiment and share musical ideas. Technology is therefore approached as a pedagogical mediator whose value depends on the extent to which it supports participation, creative initiative and meaningful connections among different forms of musical experience.
