Hybrid Horizons – Festival & Conference takes place at Megaron – Athens Concert Hall from 16 to 18 October 2026, bringing contemporary music creation, technology, and artistic research into dialogue. The programme includes concerts, presentations, and research activities exploring new approaches to composition, performance, and interaction with sound.

On 16 October 2026, a poster presentation examines composition techniques in elementary general music education through the Music Education 4.0 framework. The study maps a range of creative practices, from acoustic sound and conventional instruments to creative coding, interactive interfaces, immersive technologies, and generative AI. It focuses on ways pupils can experiment with sound, organise and transform musical material, and develop their own compositional ideas through different media and technologies.

The mapping organises composition techniques as different pathways for creative action and considers how acoustic, digital and immersive media can coexist within a shared music-education framework. Technology is evaluated according to the extent to which it supports individual musical decision-making rather than functioning as an end in itself.
