The WAAE Athens Summit 2024 takes place in Athens from 17 to 19 October 2024 under the central theme Arts, Nature, Technology, Education: Harmony in Unity. The programme brings the arts, education, technology, nature and sustainability into dialogue through research presentations, workshops and artistic activities with international participation.

The presentation focuses on the design and implementation of music-pedagogical scenarios for primary education through the Music Education 4.0 framework. The activities integrate immersive technologies, artificial intelligence and ST(R)E(A)M practices, with emphasis on connecting digital media with music creation, experimentation and experiential learning.

The discussion examines how different technologies can be integrated within the same music-education scenario when they serve explicit aims in listening, creation, collaboration and expression. Music Education 4.0 therefore functions as a design framework connecting innovation with experiential musical practice rather than as a catalogue of contemporary digital tools. Implementing the scenarios in a real school environment makes it possible to consider student engagement and the relationship between initial design decisions and how activities actually develop.
