The article Leveraging Digital Storytelling and Animation Practices in Music Education for Soft Skills Cultivation and Media Literacy Enhancement was published in the Open Journal of Animation, Film and Interactive Media in Education and Culture (AFIMEC) through EKT ePublishing. Digital storytelling and animation are examined as contexts in which musical creation intersects with audiovisual and digital literacy.

The analysis focuses on multimodal projects where sound, image, language, movement and narrative interact, as well as on the use of coding environments for multimedia production. These practices are connected with creativity, critical thinking and collaboration, while issues of instructional design, assessment and teacher professional development are also addressed. Music remains central to the organisation of the activities, with sound and composition functioning as more than accompanying elements of a multimedia product. This opens possibilities for learning experiences in which musical creation is connected with contemporary audiovisual culture and with multiple forms of communication, representation and expression.
